Epididymis is a tube like structure which connects testicles with vas deferens. Inflammation of the epididymis is called epididymitis. It is usually due to bacterial infection which spread from the infection of urethra and bladder. Most common bacteria involved are chlamydia, gonococcus, E.coli and Mycobacterium tuberculosis. This problem can also be due to use of medicine called amiodarone. Its treatment is by use of antibiotics along with pain medicines.
