What Do Roman Catholics Believe About Christ?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

I can't answer for all Roman Catholics, but I am very close with several.  They believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Savior of the world, foretold in the Old Testament.  While on earth, He was fully God and fully man.  He is part of the Holy Trinity and always has been.  He is now at the right hand of God in Heaven.

While on earth, He lived as a man, but was without sin.  He was crucified to pay the penalty of our sins (The Law of God states that the penalty for breaking the Law is death: Eternal separation from God).  He was placed in a tomb.  On the third day, he rose from the dead, just as He said He would.

Jesus Christ is the Alpha & the Omega. The "I AM". Melchizedek , God made a little lower than the angels, for a time ( Psalm 8:5 ). God made flesh, come to sacriifice Himself for your sins, eternally.
