Should I Spend Money On My Kid's Birthday Party Invitations Or Just Invite People Over The Phone?

Answer Question

A child's birthday party is probably the most memorable event he will have all his life. Each and every detail of the party is important for the child's memory and not only the child but also the parents treasure this moment.

There is a motive of sending out party invitations especially if it is a kid's birthday party and that is to have bright and colorful attractive invitations to tell other kids what kind of a party it is.
If you invite people over the phone, you will be talking to the kid's parents and the kids to be invited will not get the message visually in their minds. When the kids have party invitations in their hands they keep it safe and tell their parents to hang them on the fridge.

Inviting people over the phone can also be very casual and does not give any idea about the party's theme. Children would not be that excited and might not even go to the party.

However if you are inviting a few children only and you are close to their parents then you may go ahead and call them up, but remember you will not be able to save the phone call as a memory treasure like you will be in the case of a party invitation. Spend a few dollars and make your child's dream birthday party a real one.

Spend the few dollars to buy the invitations - or there are several sites on the Internet that you can make free invitations and print them on your printer.

Invitations allow the guest to have all the information they need in one place.

It is all about you at this point . . . The child will never remember any of this.  Make it as easy for yourself as you can.  Forget the invitations and postage!  Spend it on film or developing of the photos to show your baby when he/she has grown up.  If your guests don't care enough to write down the time and place, then they don't deserve to be there when you celebrate your child's first b.d.
