How To Calculate Mixing By Volume When On Item Is Dry And The Other A Liquid?

I need to mix a 16 ounce package of dry material 50/50 by volume with liquid. How do I know th volume of liquid to add if the dry part weighs 16 ounces?

    Since the mixing is by volume, you need to know the volume of the dry part. The weight information is useless without density information that lets you convert weight to volume.

    Pour the dry material into a (liquid measure) measuring cup, note what its volume is, and match that volume with your liquid.
