To calculate interest on a certain amount that has been lent on nine per cent per annum what you will have to do is to follow a simple rule and then calculate the interest. Here is the simplest method that you can use for the purpose.
If 100 pounds sterling earns you 9 pounds sterling in one year then 1 pound sterling can earn you 9/100 sterling in one year. Then the amount you can earn is 9 x principal amount / 100 pounds sterling.
The formula that I have described in the abovementioned paragraph can be used for any amount and when time is also being given in the question you can multiply the figure with the time and can get the result that is the exact amount that you have earned or have given to somebody on a certain amount.
