What Do Kwanzaa And The Symbionese Liberation Army Have In Common?

Answer Question

Other then the fact that they were generated from the black community, not much. Kwanzaa was initiated strictly as a commercial venture by a black businessman - he still owns the copyright to the name, so any time it is used, he gets a check - and it has turned into a profitable idea for him. The SLA was just a bunch of worthless thugs who aren't worth the space it takes to type their name. The only common denominator is that they both claim to have roots from African heritage, which is fiction in both cases. One is a business, and the other was just a catchy phrase for a street gang.
