    DSL is the abbreviation for digital subscriber line. It refers to a very high-speed connection. It has similar wires to that of a regular telephone line. It is possible to connect to the internet through the assistance of digital subscriber line (DSL). It is a technology that brings information to homes and small business through copper telephone lines. It can carry both data and voice signals and the data part of the line is continuously connected.

    A DSL line or signal can be attained by connecting to the nearest telephone company office that offers the DSL service. A DSL service can be superimposed on the existing telephone lines. A DSL signal is also prevalent even when the PC is off. There are different types of DSL services like ADSL, ASDL, or SDSL.
