What Is A Right Triangle?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Three are three angles and three sides in a triangle. The sum of three angles of a triangle is 180. If one angle of the triangle is 90o, it is called right angle triangle. The other two angles of the right angle triangles are acute angles because their measurements are less than 90o. The side opposite to right angle is called hypotenuse and other two sides are known as base and perpendicular. The sum of other two angles is 90o. The area of a right angle triangle is equal to the half of product of base and perpendicular. The measure of sides and angles of a right angle triangle are can be measured by using trigonometric ratios.

    Sin (theta)= perpendicular/ hypotenuse

    Cos (theta)= base/ hypotenuse

    Tan (theta)= perpendicular/ base.
