Can You Define A Herbaceous Perennial Plant?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Herbaceous perennial plants are those plants which die back to the ground at the end of the growing season. The end of growing season is the arrival of winters. The whole plant dies but the roots of the herbaceous perennials remain alive. During this time the plant uses the food which it has stored during summer or spring. When growing season or spring comes then the plant again develops the stem and leaves. Examples of herbaceous perennials include Lady in Black calico, Carolina Moonlight false indigo, Siberian Bugloss, Brunnera etc.
