How Many European Cups Did Sammy Lee Win As A Player?

As a player Sammy Lee won two European cups with Liverpool FC in the eighties.

His first came in Liverpool's third European cup win in nineteen eighty one.  Liverpool met Spanish giants Real Madrid in Paris, France in the final and beat them by a single goal to nil to claim their third and Sammy Lee's first European cup.  

Lee also featured in the European cup final of nineteen eighty four, where Liverpool's opponents this time were AS Roma, and the venue was the olympic stadium Rome, the home ground of AS.  

In a tight game Liverpool went on to win the final on penalties to claim the European cup for a fourth time.  

Sammy Lee also collected a runners up medal a year later in eighty five when Liverpool reached the final where they met Juventus of Turin.  The venue for that fateful game was the Hysel stadium Belguim.
