Have you had him in to see the vet? I do know that intact males have a higher risk of having prostate problems. Just something to think about, but i would call your vet and ask them. Dogs just like us humans can get cancer. Hopefully that's not what it is but better to be safe than sorry!!

Your dog needs to be examined by a veterinarian and have basic bloodwork and a urinalysis run. Increased thirst and urination has many potential causes like bladder infection, bladder stones or cancer, prostatic disease (infection, hyperplasia, and cancer), kidney infection, kidney disease, diabetes, liver disease, and endocrine diseases like Cushing's disease. Once the problem is diagnosed appropriate treatment can be started.
