Answers
Chromato graphy was invented by Mikhail Semyonovic during his research on Chlorophyll in the year 1900. There was no specific reason for his invention. He was just researching on Chlorophyll and he wanted to separate plant pigments. For this purpose he used a liquid absorption column that contained calcium carbonate.
