The first and foremost thing for the development of rural areas is raising the standard of living of the people living in the villages. This can be done by introducing educational programs so that awareness can be created among the villagers to improve their work processes and standard of living. Once education will be prevalent among the villagers, they will automatically employ their knowledge and skills in the betterment of their living conditions. Availability of pure and clean water, good roads, effective sanitary systems, effective provision of medical assistance in order to prevent diseases, proper vaccination to the children etc can help to improve the overall conditions of rural areas.
