It is in the digestive system where you can find pancreas in the human body. If we talk of the functions it does, you can classify it in two groups; one is exocrine and another one is endocrine. The exocrine is responsible for secreting pancreatic juice that contains digestive enzymes and the endocrine is also of extreme importance as it is responsible to secrete many of the important hormones like somatostatin, glucagons and insulin.

Among the three the most important is insulin as if it is not being secreted properly, the person may get diabetic and he has to take good care of himself. You might have seen some diabetic patients taking the injections of insulin to replenish the supply of insulin in their body.
