I Have A Daughter In Law Who Is A Binge Drinker And Takes Zanex. She Has Driven With The Children While She Was Drunk And Put Their Lives In Danger Yet We Don't Have The Right To Keep Her From Taking The Children If She Wants To. What Can We Do?

Do you actually witness her behavior?  If you do, call the cops the next time and hopefully they catch her in the act of a DUI.  She will be charged with a DUI and child endangerment.  Hopefully you'd be able to get custod y of the children.

When you witness this happening,call the authorities and report it make aure you have the tag # of the car she is driving but be prepared to step up and take the kids,if not they will end up in forester care or a institution,you can also report it to your state Dept for children and have proof the law enforcement would be good proof if you report her and they stop her with the children in the car and she is driving,good luck and I understand your concern for the children......

Hi, alcohol and zanex are such a very, very, bad combination. I cant believe that she would jeopardize her children. I'm sure you love your daughter very much, but it seems like she needs some real tough love at this point...before it's too late. Like the others said, call the police as soon as you know she's in the car with them. Or even if she's doing this in her home, she is still endangering the kids. Who knows what could be happening. Please do not put this off, she needs serious help and so do the kids. I hope she will be able to go to some form of rehab while you would be willing to take care of the kids. Please take care of your daughter and grandchildren, they need you right now. Best of luck and hope everything turns out for the better.
