How To Grow A Pumpkin?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The first thing you need to do is wait till the summers begin. One thing you need to watch and known is that you will get big pumpkins from big pumpkins. So while purchasing seeds of a pumpkin make sure you grow them from large pumpkins. Dig a lot basket-sized opening; fill it with very well-to-do manure or compost, then cover up with a six inch coating of black dirt. Now plant 3 seeds 1 inch deep. Once they began to sprout leaves remove the two smallest plants. When the three pumpkins are softball-sized, get rid of the two smallest. Keep this winner weeded, well-watered and fertilized with a soaring phosphorous fertilizer.
