What Is The A BIOS Password?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

BIOS, or Basic Input/Output System, is put onto computer motherboards to help your operating system start up and run. It keeps track of time and what devices are connected to your computer. Since a BIOS gives you much control over a computer, many people put passwords on them so people can't mess with the settings. You can reset the bios password by taking the battery out of a motherboard, or taking the laptop battery out of a laptop for 15 minutes or so. The motherboard batteries are the small flat kind about 3/4 of an inch wide.
