Well I would say there are numerous advantages of having a name card on ones desk. Firstly it makes one feel important and easy to recognize. Furthermore people that do not know you can easily identify you if they have some news or other things they want to convey to you. Also having a name card signifies that one is part of the company one is working in. The disadvantage that I can think of is that there is some personal information that is given away. The most important being ones name, one does not always want some people to know their full name and credentials. These are some of the problems and advantages of a name card.
