Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Lynx refers to any of the three species of short-tailed forest cats that are found in the continents of Asia, North America and Europe. The Lynx is conspicuous by its large paws, long legs, tufted ears, broad short head and hair soles.  Its thick and soft winter fur can be used for making woollen clothing. The bushy ruff on the neck is usually cream coloured or covered with brown and black spots.

Lynx are about 30–40 in. long, and weight about 19–45 pounds.  They are by nature, nocturnal and silent except during the mating season. The mammal lives alone or dwells in small groups. They are good climbers and love to feed on small mammals like deer and birds. Some species of lynx are thought to be endangered.
