    They are normally laid on a relatively soft surface, but an egg is also a surprisingly strong structure, the shape ensuring that any shock is distributed across the surface rather than concentrated in one spot.

      It is there motherly instinct to protect the eggs.

        Hens do not sit on the eggs they crouch over them.or there massive weight will crush the eggs.
