If You Could Visit Any Place In California, Where Would It Be?

I'm helping a 5th grader with a tourism project, and this is one of their polling places. Please choose one a tourist destination (whether it be Northern California, Central California or Southern California) and explain why you choose it. Thank you.

You could see the natural wonder of the sequoia national park. Or plan a trip to the gold mines in the local area for some fun and learn how to pan gold. Or even see if you could take a tour of Boeing and see how the worlds newest jet is built.

This was supposed to be about what would interest you, not me. I live in CA but have to help a 5th grader survey people. Thanks.

if you read my answer you would see it says to see the natural wonder of the park(meaning the giant trees), and the second part says to learn and have some fun by learning to pan for gold in turn teaching about the gold rush, and the third part would teach not only of flight but the production process of jumbo jets and how they make those giant planes(jets) in order to make them fly. so i think i did give you my reasons why at the same time giving you three very good spots to visit for a group of people let alone fifth graders.

WoW... That's like saying... If you could only have one kind of ice cream, what would it be!  There are so many great choices that even as I'm writing this I still keep changing my mind... Ok.. I'd visit the northern California coast, especially if it was summertime, because I love the cool, green, wild beauty of the of the cliffs against the ocean.. And the thick mats of moss and fern that carpet the forest in this most humid area of California.
Geez... Now you've got me wanting to take a trip!

Tough call, for a fifth grader I would suggest my neck of the woods, sunny San Diego. You have Balboa Park with a rich and diverse wealth of museums. Not only is it educational, it's beautiful and fun, there are many interactive learning tours and next door to Balboa Park is "The World Famous San Diego Zoo" which is always an incredible visit. A few minutes away from that are sunny soft sand beaches and then as you explore said beaches you can find your way up to Sea World and learn all about the ocean. If you want to go inland about a half an hour away if the Wild Animal Park (which I believe is also world-famous) and if it aint it should be, you can see amazing animals in their natural habitat, and then on up the road you can go to Julian to see the apple trees and agricultural aspects of southern California and enjoy some of the best apple pie and cider you will ever have. On the way back down from there you can stop into Ramona (my hometown) and enjoy coffee from our gourmet shops, do some antique shopping (if you haven't gotten enough in Julian) and have an award winning cinnamon roll at the Ramona Cafe. Then make your way back downtown and enjoy the night life of San Diego in the gaslamp the possibilities are endless in this great city. The Birch Aquarium, Legoland, Whale Watching Mountain Biking, Nature Hiking, Knott's Soak City, and for the parents you can head up to Temecula for some excellent local wines and relaxation after all of that fun!

San Diego...where the weather is almost always nice. I love touring the Midway and Gaslamp district. Is Dicks Last Resort still there???

It sure is! Haven't been in a Long time, but such is the life of a single mom. My birthday is coming up soon. I think my girlfriends and I may head downtown to the gas lamp for that night. San Diego is lovely though. So much to do.

I have visited many places in California and I really do enjoy the "Wine Country".  It has nothing to do with the wine as I am not a drinker.  I found the scenery so beautiful and very relaxing.
