WOMAD a famous festival that is celebrated in England is an example of one of the best ways to showcase the art of dance and music. Starting off in 1992 as WOMANelaide, it was a part of Adelaide festival of arts. This festival was held odd-numbered years and every 2 years, because the crew organizing the festival did not want any clashes taking place between those that were held at even years. But over a period of time it became an annual festival, and that was by 2003.
Being a famous, much appreciated and well organized festival, the dates and venue of the coming up festivals are decided much earlier. The date for WOMAD in 2007 is decided as from 9th -11th of March and the venues are South Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Holland and Spain. These are the few venues that have been declared as far as WOMAD is a festival that is been celebrated in over 20 countries.
