The person performing the trick has to sit at a distance from the observer or audience facing each other. A deck of cards has to be taken and a single card drawn out. The magician, performer of the trick, has to place the cards in the palm of his hand in the form of a deck with the top of the deck facing one's audience. The numbered side should face oneself. The first card that was drawn should be seen by the magician placed on the top facing the audience and the number or type of card called out. As he does this he can observe the card to be next in line. The bottom card is got to the top behind his back and the trick continues.
