Why Did They Name The Bunsen Burner After Him?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

A Bunsen Burner is basically a laboratory apparatus. It is an equipment that produces a single and open gas flame. This flame is used for heating, combustion and sterilization.

This equipment has been named after Robert Bunsen. Actually Robert Bunsen was the person behind this invention. He saw a need for modification of the heating and illumination apparatus in the laboratory, so he designed a burner himself. And let the university mechanic make it. That is why it was named after him.
