Is It Possible To Contact A 'Prospective' Friend Before Adding Them To Your List?

Someone requesting me on their friend list seems (by their backgrounds/profile) to have nothing in common. Is there a kind way to possibly UN-Friend someone if they mistake you for someone else accidentally, or you befriend them by mistake?

Yes you can talk to a person on blurtit before adding them to your list. You can send him/her a message on the shout box. Still if you don't want to accept any invitation of friendship you can simply deny the request. For some reason if you want to remove any of the accepted friend then you can 'remove' it from the control panel.

As zuhail said, you can contact Blurters via their shout boxes, but you have to make sure you set your own shout box to allow messages from "All" (second page of your own profile).  If you have it set for friends only, only those who are already friends will be able to contact you.

One minor confusion left. It seems when I go to a members site all the (permitted) shouts are there and they are not private. Is there a way to contact a member via e-mail without a post on a rare occasion? I have little history using personal forums such as these.

Contacting a member by e mail would be between you and the Blurter. He/she has to be willing to give you the address. There are several people I keep in touch with that way. The other thing you could do is ask the person to delete the shout as soon as they read it.

robbier44: I have to laugh when one of your shouts asks if you're too busy...Wow what a list of groups you have! I can't see a way to get my e-mail to a Blurter without posting it. Guess that's the way I have to go. There doesn't seem to be a private way. No problem.
