The most important part of priming your truck is preparation of the truck body for primer and a finish coat. Go to a paint store. Ask for the best sandpaper for the job. You may also need a wire wheel and drill for deep rust.
Ask for the best solvent to clean with before you add the primer. Solvents are dangerous, ask about safety procedures.
This is just the basics in preparation and the most difficult part of the job. Work carefully and it is better to do small sections at a time. If you want a really beautiful primer job then this process cannot be rushed.
