Serve her with the papers. There should be free legal advice in your state. There is NO problem getting a divorce from another state whatsoever.
Just to add...let her down easily. Divorce is amongst the second top stressors in life, death being the first. Divorce is the death of a marriage so just consider the two one.
Have you tried everything to reconcile first. What about marriage counseling or time to see if you really want a divorce. If she has agreed to divorce you, communicate, as hard as it is, and you will get what you want.
Divorce is not always the answer. She may be hurting and you can be the better person even though I do not know the situation. If she does not want a divorce this will be very hard for her. Try to have some empathy. I know you did not ask for all of this. I am going through the same situation and feel completely helpless. No communication and I guess he wants a divorce and we are in two different states, hey it might be us JK. Anyway all I know is that no other situation in my life hurt like this and it is not getting any better. For the sake of your soon to be ex wife, be kind.
