A full Tarot deck is made up of 78 cards, each of which displays a symbol or number. These cards are used to predict the future. There are two types of card. The first are the twenty-two Major Arcana, which are also known as trumps. These twenty-two cards are the Fool, the Magician, the High Priestess, the Empress, the Emperor, the Hierophant, the Lovers, the Chariot, the Hermit, the Wheel of Fortune, Strength, the Hanged Man, Death, Temperance, the Devil, the Tower, the Star, the Moon, the Sun, Judgment, and the World. All of these cards have stories behind them and have some deeper meaning. We will discuss the stories next part. The other types of Tarot card are just like the modern playing cards we use. It's composed of suits of wands (clubs), cups (hearts), swords (spades), and pentacles (diamonds). Each suit has 14 cards, which contain the numbers two to ten, and a jack, queen, king and ace.
