How To Defragment A Hard Drive?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The word defrag is a contracted form of the verb to defragment. If you use a personal computer (which is abbreviated as PC) that supports either the Windows 95 operating system or any of the later versions of Windows operating systems (such as Windows 98, Windows XP, etc.), it will have a built-in tool called a disk defragmenter.

The exact location of the disk defragmenter tool on your personal computer is under the start menu and then you have to go to the programs menu, the accessories menu and the system tools menu.

The disk defragmenter is used for the purpose of reorganisation of data on the hard drive of your personal computer. The data on the hard drives of all personal computers need to be reorganised constantly so that the drive runs more efficiently.
