New Kitten In The House,What Should I Do?..Please Help!
I have a 2 year old male cat the has been in the house since we broght him old when he was 8 weeks old. Now today I got another 12 week old kitten and the older cat is NOT happy at all he hisses at the kitten and us and I'm really afaird that he will hurt the kitten because he is a bitter anyway.... What can I do??? Will this work out or is it pretty much hopeless??? Please Help!!! Thanks!!

Well I haven't really done the older cat younger cat thing but my cat does hiss at local cats so I would say that your older cat is being territorial. Your older cat is telling your kitten that its the boss basically and that it better keep away. Also he may be mad at you for bringing in another cat. I'm not an expert but I would say keep them apart and slowly let them get to know each other. I don't know your cats so I'm sure i wont be right on target about his behavior, but if he bites the kitten and a bump forms that lets out pus get him to the vet.
It could also depend on if they are both males. Ask a local vet too because they always have the best advice. Or look around online.
