Is Sunset A Flora And Fauna?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

The term 'sunset' is not representative in any way of the flora and fauna on earth. Sunset is a daily event involving the sun, and is a result of the rotation of the earth on its axis. The term 'flora' is used to refer to all the plant life on earth. This includes micro-organic plant life to macro-organic life such as trees. The term 'fauna' is used to refer to all the animal life on planet earth. This term includes in its frame of reference all the animal life on earth – from single celled micro-organisms to macro-organisms. Together, flora and fauna make up all life forms on earth.

Sunset, on the other hand is a phenomenon that involves the sun, the primary source of light on earth. The earth revolves around the sun, and while that is a separate event on its own, it in no way is related to the terms 'flora' and 'fauna'.
