Satisfaction is something that is difficult to measure because it is not a tangible object. A human being might move from a state of satisfaction to dissatisfaction in a matter of nanoseconds. The factors that govern the state of mind of a human being are too many and too complex.
But organizations are constantly trying to measure satisfaction. This could be employee, customer, supplier or any stakeholder satisfaction. In fact human resource departments of many organizations compete to top lists of companies having the most satisfied employees. They have developed all kinds of scales on which employee answers to a pre-determined set of questions are captured. These scales however differ from organization to organization. All kinds of concepts are brought into satisfaction measurement. It is highly fashionable to use Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs to gauge the satisfaction levels of an employee. Some countries have gone a step ahead and have attempted to measure the happiness levels of the entire population!

There is no measurement for satisfaction. Human tendency is if he gets 100 % of all his needs, even then he demands (thinks) for more
