Downward communication is basically the top to bottom communication. It is a form of formal communication, through which orders are passed from the top hierarchy to the sub ordinates at different levels. The downward communication basically involves passing the mission and vision of the organization to the people below and also conveying the goals and strategies to accomplish these goals.
