If You Get A New Kitten From The Pound, Should You Let Them Roam Around The House As Soon As You Think It Adjusted?

Oh yes definitely let it roam around right away.. It will get all freaked out and hide,  you will search for hours.. Only to find that it somehow made its way inside a drawer of a kitchen cabinet and is plotting its escape... So just pay attention to it and don't let it out of your site, make sure your keep its attention and try to make it happy... But don't hug it too much , you might choke it and or choke yourself...you don't want to cough up a furball..trust me..

Yes!  Cats are curious by nature and want to poke their noses and paws into every nook and cranny of their environment.  Before letting him loose, make sure you take a quick run through and check for anything that he might decide to use as a toy or snack that might be dangerous to him (ie: Containers he can tip and open by knocking them over that might be poisonous to him, hanging wires that might look like a kitty toy string, poisonous plants, etc).  Kittens are wonderful but they are a handful when they first exploring so dont follow him too closely but be nearby to hear if he gets himself into something he can't get out of (like the bathtub or toilet!).  :)

The sooner the exploration, the better for the kitty. This is going to be his home, so he needs to feel comfortable there as soon as possible. Hope this helps, have fun getting to know one another.

You should always allow the kitten to roam the house just do not let it outside yet make sure to show it where the cat box is and if it makes a mistake then put it in the ct box so it knows where to go to the bathroom you can put a piece of poo in the box and make sure it sees that's where to go.
