Sorry, I do find your question really funny.
We like to think that medical doctors are the cleverest people. And it's true that med-school is hard. But at least medical doctors only have to learn the physiology of one type of creature (humans). There's lots modern medical science can do to treat humans, and that's a lot to learn, but still... at least it's only one type of critter.
WHEREAS, vets have to study the basic physiology of literally dozens of types of animals. This is why vet school takes longer, is harder to get into, and vets can even be better paid than medical doctors.
OH, and modern vets tend to specialise in just a few types of animals: just small creatures like rodents and birds, or just in big things like horses and cows, or just in dogs and cats, etc. Some vets specialise in only race horses, or only cows, or only pigs, etc. If you have any sort of unusual animal, you may need to phone around to find a vet who will feel qualified to treat that type of creature.
