You will need to remember that you need each number 1 thru 9 in each square, and you want the same numbers in each row across and in each row down.

I write down each number outside the grid, and then I will work through each number, placing them in the grid where they are going to fit, but if I can't get one in the grid, I leave that number and go to the next, and so on. I will cross a number off if I finish with all nine of that number in the grid.
