Revolution Day in Argentina refers to May 25th. This day is considered as a national holiday in remembrance of all the happenings and significant occurrences in the history of Argentina and the May revolution. Starting on this day and the rest of the week together is known as the May week. The revolution day is also known as May Revolution Day.

May revolution was a series of political and social events that took place in Buenos Aires which led to the formation of the first non Spanish local government in the country. There was no violation during this revolution because the people involved in it were middle-high class or high-class inhabitants. An autonomous government was formed in Argentina on revolution day or May 25th in 1810. Thus it marked the end of Madrid's rule in Buenos Aires.
