Where Can I Get Information On Islam?

Islam is an Arabic word and the literal meaning of Islam is peace. The last prophet of God Muhammad (PBUH) in Arabia founds the religion of Islam in 611 A.D with the first revelation of holy book of Quran by the Allah over Muhammad (PBUH) in the cave of Hira near the holy city of Makkah. Quran is the holy book revealed to Muhammad (PBUH), it was complete in 23 years. Quran teaches human being for living the life in the best way and Muhammad's (PBUH) life is a Model of Quran's ideal human.
Islam stand on the following five basic believes.
1. To believe over one God Allah and Muhammad (PBUH) is Allah's Messenger. This is the first and most important step to become a Muslim.
2. Five times prayer in a day as a duty.
3. Alms is the fixed amount money on a calculated assets of a person taken by riches of the society as a donations to facilitate the poor people of the society every month
4. Fasting in the Islamic month of Ramadan as in Ramadan according to Muslims Quran will completely reveal.  
5. Hajj must be performing once in the life of a Muslim if he is economically eligible to perform it.  
A person will become a Muslim by believing and following the above, five rules.

You want to know that from where you can get information about Islam. It is a good thing to enhance and enlighten yourself about the great religions of words and practice. The first and foremost important thing for getting the information about some religion is the religious books of that religion. For example, if you want to learn about Christianity you must read Bible, because it is the religious scripture of the Christianity.
