Right off and most famously of course there is a Shankhill and the Falls.  Two roads that are the essence of the two communities.   The Shankhill Road is the home of the protestant community and the Falls, the home of the catholic community, but more specifically, the home of loyalist and republican communities.  Both communities have celebrated their loyalty with large wall art murals, depicting scenes from their struggle or their heroes.

A large clock on the way out to the quayside is called The Albert Clock, it is wonky and leans to one side.

There is a large status made of metal that looks like a dancer holding a ring.    She is known as man things as The Thing with the Ring, the Nuala with the Hula (Nuala is a popular Irish girl's name) or the Doll with the Ball (which rhymes in a Belfast accent).

Overlooking the city is Cave Hill, (just below is the city zoo), Cave Hill was the inspiration for part of Gulliver's Travels, written by Jonathan Swift.
