Dance Dance Revolution, or as it is more popularly known by the acronym, DDR, is a range of music video games created by Konami. This game was first released in Japan in video arcades in the year 1998, following its display at the Tokyo game Show, formerly in the same year. Ever since then, the game has become extremely popular in other parts of the planet, such as regions in North America as well as in the continent of Europe.

One has to play the game on a dance pad which has four arrow panels for each direction, which are pushed with the player's feet, in retort to arrows which come on the screen. The arrows match the rhythm of the song, hence the player has to basically dance in time to the rhythm.
