One teaspoon of ground allspice is equal to approximate 5 whole berries. So if you need a substitute for allspice, you need to combine equal parts of ground cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and black pepper.

A combination of most of your baking spices will work in a pinch, or just more of each. Clove, Cinnamon and nutmeg mostly. Mix according to taste.
