Semper Fidelis or Semper Fi is a Latin phrase and it means 'Always faithful". Semper Fidelis is the motto of the United States Marine Corps. It has been the official motto of the Marine Corps since 1883 and as written, will continue to be the motto till the year 2063. Semper Fi is the title of the musical march of the Marine Corps.

Semper Fi is only an abbreviation used by the officers of the Marine Corps for Semper Fidelis. They use this abbreviation as it voices their loyalty and commitment to their Marine comrades-in-arms. Some of the previous mottos of the US Marine Corps are: to the shores of Tripoli (1805), Fortitude (1812), From the Halls of Montezuma to the Shores of Tripoli (1848) and By Sea and by land (1850).
