Is It Just Me Or Should All Credit Cards Have Picture Id On Them So They Cant Be Used After Stolen?

I was watching a cop show and people are still able to use stolen credit cards,so how are they able to use them in a store without being checked out . Even with their drivers license being compared to their credit card.

While it would probably deter people from using a stolen credit card in a store, it would make no difference on online purchases, mail order, or self-serve payment (basically any method that doesn't involve someone taking your payment in person), which I believe are the main usages of stolen credit cards, understandably.

I completely, totally agree with you and at one time they were kicking that idea around but for some reason they never followed up on it..........It sure would cut down on theft of the cards and even your check cards and debit cards are subject to theft and fraud, especially over the internet.  People in stores are not really concerned about you being ripped-off, they just want the money....that wasn't nice but they really need to pay more attention too.

Very few credit or debit cards have photo ID's, because the card holder would have to supply a photo to the credit card company or bank in person, in order to verify that the photo is, indeed, that person; few people are willing to do this, much less have the company/bank take the time to review and accept the photo (n.b., passports are government issued, while most credit/debit cards are privately issued, so there is an international, legal requirement to have a verified passport photo; the same is true of State or National government-issued motor vehicle license photos).  Also, many people change their hair styles, weight, and overall looks over time, so the credit/debit card would have to change each time, because the credit/debit card tends to be used  more often and is seen by more people than either a passport or license, so the card would have to be kept fairly up-to-date; no credit card company or bank wants to do this on a regular basis, as it would be too expensive to re-issue cards. Besides, most people cringe at their motor vehicle license or passport photo, which they rarely, if ever, view; how do you think they'll react to something they'll probably see on a daily basis?  ;)
