What Is Peripheral Neuropathy

My doctor says I have neuropathy. My legs and feet at night sleeping cramps up with lots of pain.

    The Peripheral Neuropathy is not disease but is condition in which the nerves of the peripheral nervous system are damaged due to neural disease or some other diseases. There are some diseases like diabetes, renal failure, hypothyroidism, cancer and HIV which cause this problem. Alcoholism and drugs also causes this. Vitamin deficiency is also a reason.       Why is Parkinson's Disease not listed as an autoimmune like Lupus and others.  I was diagnosed with PD in 1998 at age 52.  I have every sympton of Peripheral  neuropathy, although my MD only diagnosed neuropathy.  I also have Osteoporoses.
