Which Is The Better Deal, Snap Peas At $3/pint Or $5/pound?

Different vendors at the farmer's market are using different units of measure, and I don't know which is the better deal.

A pint is 16 ounces of volume, while a pound is 16 ounces of weight, so they cannot be converted or compared equally.  One would need to know the density yield of the peas per pint to make a semi-accurate conversion to determine value.  Produce that is light weighted would be a better bargain at the per pound price.

Since 1 Pint = 2 Cups, and 1 Pound =16 Ounces, and 1 Cup = 8 Ounces... Your Pint and your Pound should be the same!  One is just measured by volume and the other by weight!  Which bag looks "bigger?"  Either way, according to your question... The $3/Pint would definitely be the better bargain!

I am sorry to say this is not accurate friend. You make comparison of two different kinds of measures, one is weight and the other volume. They are not the same ounces.
