change ur attitude to a friendly attitude.
Take ur 2-3 friend beside them and crack good jokes, remember joke should be decent and funny as well. So that should laugh on the joke {not on you}. Then go on and invite them to be ur friend. This is a very slow process...you have to wait may be for 12mnths

Just treat them the way that you would want to be treated ask them a question about homework and see if that don't start the ball rolling then you can talk about anything.
