My Car Won't Shift Out Of Park, Can You Help?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

All recent cars (in the US anyway) have a system that prevents taking the shift lever out of park unless the brake pedal is pushed down.

Some of these systems are electrical so you will not be able to move the shift lever unless there is enough power and the engine is running.

    What car/year/model is this?
