I found a link here (please note it is a .pdf file) which has information on the power of attorney law in Texas. It notes that revocation by the principal may be done but needs to be done by actual notice to the agent or attorney. It suggests a good way is to do this by certified mail (with a return receipt).

It also notes that power of attorney is revoked upon death of the principal.

Anyway, as I say, have a read through on the link provided for more info.
