    red deer, Russa deer, Axis deer = hind
    Sika deer, sitka deer, white-tailed deer, mule deer e.c.t. = doe

      Deer belong to the Cervidae family and they are essentially mammals. A female deer is referred to as Hinds, does or cows. For reference see the link below:
