Is Wikipedia A Reliable Source To Find Information On A History Project?

Personally i would not use it, all teachers at the high school and at the college level disapprove of a student using it. The fact is that i could type in that J.F.K. Is still alive and nobody would find out for quite a while. While i was looking up a town close to me it had some things that i will not mention on there about the town. Good luck with the paper and use google to find out things on the topic.

It's not a bad place to begin, as long as you don't end there.
Use other search engines as well. Try to find some primary sources, such as first-hand accounts. Try to find official government summaries.
Wiki can have spurious information and it can be the only thing available on some obscure topics researched by non-academic folk. I just tested this hypothesis by searching for information on spinning cat's fur and dog hair for yarn on Ask Wiki and a general Google search. Google won, hands down. That was a short-lived theory.
Part of the education process is learning to do research and evaluate different sources.
